About The Position
Dealership Building Maintenance Technician – Job Description Position Summary A Dealership Building Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining the dealership’s buildings, grounds, equipment, and overall facility appearance. This role helps ensure a safe, clean, and professional environment for customers and employees.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous maintenance, custodial, or facility experience preferred
- Basic knowledge of: Electrical systems, Plumbing, HVAC, Carpentry
- Ability to use hand and power tools
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds and work indoors/outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong problem-solving and time-management skills
Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance and repairs
- Maintain showroom, offices, service department, and customer areas
- Repair or troubleshoot minor electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical issues
- Replace light bulbs, filters, ceiling tiles, and fixtures
- Conduct routine inspections of the facility and equipment
- Maintain dealership grounds including: Lawn care, Snow removal, Salting sidewalks, Trash removal
- Operate maintenance equipment and tools safely
- Coordinate with outside contractors when needed
- Maintain cleanliness of parking lots, entrances, and service drive
- Set up and move furniture, displays, or equipment for events
- Respond quickly to urgent maintenance requests
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and OSHA guidelines
- Keep maintenance records and supply inventory
