About The Position

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, appearance, and general safety of the facility, including restrooms. The custodian works with a minimum of supervision to ensure assigned areas are kept in a sanitary, orderly, and attractive condition by performing various tasks using the necessary equipment and supplies. Duties include daily mopping, vacuuming, cleaning restrooms, spot-cleaning, window cleaning, taking out the trash, and wiping surfaces.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least one year of custodial/janitorial experience
• Knowledge of basic cleaning supplies and equipment
• Physical ability to perform all aspects of this job (lifting, standing, bending, etc.)
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Attention to detail
• Ability to stay on task with limited supervision
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to lift 30 lbs

Responsibilities

• Cleans daily all assigned rooms, halls, and other areas
• Cleans and sanitizes restrooms/bathrooms using established practices and procedures
• Refinishes hard surface floors and cleans carpeted areas as scheduled or needed
• Maintains clean, organized work areas and securely stores equipment and supplies
