Requirements

  • Valid US driver’s license.
  • Working knowledge of building maintenance and repair as well as experience with HVAC systems.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Windows programs.
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Ability to perform skilled carpentry and basic mechanical repairs.
  • Strong verbal communication skills.
  • Mechanical aptitude and a working understanding of electrical, plumbing, and building construction.
  • Ability to read and understand architectural plans and maintenance or other types of manuals.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ related experience.
  • Must be bondable.

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing building maintenance, repairs, and remodeling projects
  • Leading a high-performing team
  • Engages direct reports in setting impactful and meaningful objectives that align with the mission and service culture, ensuring they understand their roles and priorities.
  • Supports operational excellence through continuous improvement, and ensures clarity in how objectives and tasks are prioritized within the team and business unit.
  • Provides input to his/her supervisor as to department needs, opportunities, strengths, future staffing needs, and other forward-looking information that will contribute to the long-term good of the credit union.
  • Makes recommendations for contracting out major repair jobs and serves as contact person to ensure work is satisfactorily completed.
  • Maintains a reasonable amount of contact with the credit union when out of the office for business purposes.
  • Exhibits the credit union’s seven service standards promoting a culture of welcoming all and putting people first whether they are a member or a coworker.
