About The Position

Dale Rogers Training Center (DRTC) is seeking a dependable and hardworking Grounds & Building Attendant to support the upkeep, cleanliness, and safety of DRTC facilities and outdoor grounds. This role ensures a clean, well‑maintained environment for staff, visitors, and program participants while representing the agency with professionalism and pride.

Requirements

Must be 18 years or older
Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License
Ability to pass OSBI, MVR, DHS Registry Check, and other required background screenings
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, standing, walking, and carrying equipment
Ability to operate lawn and maintenance equipment safely
Regular and punctual attendance

Nice To Haves

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
Experience in groundskeeping, custodial work, or general maintenance preferred
Ability to work independently and follow instructions
Strong attention to detail and reliability
Good communication skills and professionalism
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Responsibilities

Maintain cleanliness of buildings, including sweeping, mopping, trash removal, and general custodial tasks
Perform groundskeeping duties such as mowing, edging, trimming, raking, and debris removal
Assist with minor building maintenance tasks as assigned
Monitor facility conditions and report needed repairs or safety concerns
Set up and break down rooms or spaces for meetings, events, and program activities
Operate agency equipment safely, including lawn equipment and basic maintenance tools
Support snow/ice removal and seasonal grounds tasks
Ensure all work areas meet agency safety and cleanliness standards
Assist maintenance staff with special projects as needed
Other duties as assigned based on facility and program needs
