Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of building erection techniques and practices
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications
  • Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to travel - typically in the state of WI
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (0-50lbs ground to shoulder, 0-80lbs ground to carry height)
  • Ability to stand, kneel, stoop, and bend for long periods of time while performing physical labor
  • Ability to operate hand/power tools and other equipment
  • Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Integrity - Ability to maintain the highest moral and ethical standards in all actions.
  • Accountability - Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and work with crew members performing building erection of pre-engineered and wood framed buildings
  • Install roofing, siding, insulation, and flashing
  • Coordinate with project team to plan and execute building erection projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, construction drawings, and specifications
  • Ensure that all work is completed according to project specifications and schedules
  • Communicate with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors as necessary
  • Assist Foreman with organization of the jobsite, subcontractors, equipment, and paperwork
  • Maintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety protocols and regulations
  • Train and mentor crew members on building erection techniques and best practices
  • Address any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction
