About The Position

The Building Custodian will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the building through daily cleaning tasks. This role involves a variety of duties, including floor and surface cleaning, waste management, sanitation, supply restocking, and minor repairs. The custodian will also be responsible for maintaining janitorial equipment and adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

Prior cleaning experience is preferred.
Able to run a scrubber / buffer / carpet cleaner.
Able to work on a ladder if needed.
Able to lift 50lbs +.
Safely mix and use chemicals per specification.
Follows safety rules and precautions.
Adheres to company policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

Keep the building clean and tidy through daily cleanings.
Clean floors (Mop/Sweep), windows, mirrors, walls and other frequently used surfaces.
Empty and Re-line trash cans.
Sanitize bathrooms, office workspaces and other areas deemed necessary.
Restock essential facility supplies, such as toilet paper and hand soap.
Wash Dishes / Load and Unload Dishwasher.
Work indoors or outdoors, lawn care or pickup and sweep outside building.
Paint / Wallpaper if needed.
Dust all areas of the building.
Run a scrubber / buffer / carpet cleaner.
Change filters.
Create a duties checklist that will be adhered to.
Perform minor repairs, such as replacing light bulbs and be able to lend a hand with other repairs as needed.
Maintain janitorial equipment, such as vacuum and cart in good condition. Change bag or canister as needed.
Work on a ladder if needed.
Lift 50lbs +.
Safely mix and use chemicals per specification.
Follows safety rules and precautions.
Adheres to company policies and procedures.
