About The Position

Bishop is hiring a part-time evening Building Custodian to clean medical buildings, offices, or light industrial facilities according to each building’s cleaning specifications. The role offers flexible hours and weekly pay. Custodians work at their own pace in a minimally supervised environment, either independently or with a group. Pay is $10–$14 per hour; custodians are paid per building, and an average experienced custodian makes $13 per hour.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license.
Must be 18 years of age.
Able to lift occasionally up to 40 pounds.
Personal smartphone with data usage capability.
Motivated and dependable, with the ability to work alone or with a group in a minimally supervised environment.
Attention to detail.
Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
Must be able to pass a background check and be authorized to work in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Prior cleaning experience.
Ability to use mobile applications.

Responsibilities

Provide cleaning services for medical buildings, offices, or light industrial facilities according to each building’s cleaning specifications.
Sweep, mop, scrub, or vacuum floors.
Collect trash and replace trash can liners.
Clean, sanitize, and supply restrooms.
Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
Wipe windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
Dust furniture, walls, machines, equipment, and overhead vents.
Maintain orderliness and cleanliness of the custodian’s closet.
Communicate with the supervisor to ensure cleaning quality and customer service.
Follow all safety guidelines and proper procedures for using cleaning solutions, equipment, and tools.
Report abnormal activities or conditions to management.
Ensure chemicals and equipment are available and in working order.
Record arrival and departure times and communicate through the company app using a personal smartphone.
