About The Position

ESC is a provider of technology solutions that help building owners and facility managers improve building performance, including comfort, security, life safety, energy efficiency, and audio/visual technology. The Building Controls Programmer installs, troubleshoots, services, and programs building automation systems, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and clients to meet project specifications and design requirements. The role includes integrating and testing systems, resolving technical issues, supporting and training project teams and clients, documenting programming and system changes, and following safety protocols. Travel to project sites may be required.

Requirements

At least 5 years of experience.
Strong background in HVAC and hydronic systems, with hands-on installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance experience.
Proficiency in programming languages or platforms such as Tridium Niagara, Honeywell, and Johnson Controls.
Ability to independently program and customize control sequences for HVAC and other building systems.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

Install, troubleshoot, service, and program building automation systems.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to understand project specifications and design requirements.
Perform system integration and testing to ensure functionality and performance.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to control programming and electrical systems.
Provide technical support and training to project teams and clients as needed.
Maintain accurate documentation of programming codes, configurations, and system changes.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times.
