About The Position

A hospital Building Automation Specialist (BAS) focused on HVAC controls and monitors air quality, temperature, humidity, and pressurization to support patient safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance. It maintains critical conditions in spaces such as operating rooms and isolation rooms, provides real-time monitoring and alarms, and helps ensure a reliable, efficient, 24/7 operation. Requirements

Technical training or an associate degree in HVAC Technology, Building Automation Systems, Information Technology, or Electronics or Controls Engineering Technology.
2–3 years of hands-on experience with HVAC systems (air handlers, VAVs, chillers, boilers).
2–3 years of hands-on experience with building automation or HVAC control systems.
2–3 years of hands-on experience troubleshooting sensors, actuators, control valves, and sequences.
EPA Section 608 Certification – Required for anyone working with refrigerants.

Nice To Haves

BAS Vendor Certifications (Siemens (Apogee / Desigo), Johnson Controls (Metasys), Schneider Electric (EcoStruxure), Honeywell (WEBs / EBI), Delta Controls).
BACnet Certification (or demonstrated protocol knowledge).
NIOSH / OSHA safety training (healthcare environment compliance).
