About The Position
Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Building Automation and Controls Technicians for projects located in or around Wichita State University, Kansas. This is a first-shift opportunity paying up to $35 per hour, based on experience and skill level. The technician will install, commission, support, troubleshoot, and repair building automation and control systems while maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of HVAC mechanical systems.
- Experience with low-voltage electrical systems.
- Must be reliable and safety-conscious.
- Able to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Mount, wire, and terminate DDC (Direct Digital Control) controllers, sensors, actuators, and field devices.
- Download, configure, and update software sequences, schedules, operator workstation graphics, and trend logs.
- Perform point-to-point checkouts, sensor calibrations, and functional testing to verify systems operate according to the sequence of operation.
- Diagnose and repair electrical, communication, and mechanical control failures.
- Troubleshoot BACnet, IP, and MS/TP communication networks.
- Install, commission, and support building automation and control systems.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
