About The Position
Supervises and participates in the performance of routine manual work tasks in cleaning and maintaining buildings, surrounding grounds and walkways; and simple building maintenance and repair work.
Requirements
- Must be a citizen, national, or permanent resident alien of the United States, or eligible under federal law for unrestricted employment in the United States.
- TWO (2) YEARS of progressively responsible work experience in one or a combination of the following areas: (a) Janitorial or related custodial work such as sweeping, dusting and cleaning of buildings; (b) Grounds maintenance work experience including such activities as cleaning, watering, fertilizing, trimming, mowing, sweeping and raking.
- At least one (1) year of the work experience must have been comparable in nature and scope to the Building and Grounds Custodian II in State service.
- Applicants must demonstrate evidence of supervisory aptitude.
- Applicants must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
