About The Position

The Facilities Manager is responsible for maintaining the safety, functionality, and reliability of the HexArmor facility and equipment. This role oversees building maintenance, preventative maintenance planning, equipment reliability, and vendor coordination to ensure the facility supports warehouse, production, and office operations efficiently. A key responsibility of this role is developing and managing a structured preventative maintenance program to ensure building systems and operational equipment are properly maintained with SOP’s documented and serviced on schedule.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in facilities maintenance or facilities management.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience maintaining industrial, warehouse, distribution center, or manufacturing facilities.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and will involve standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing.
  • This employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and safely work on ladders and/or lifts.
  • Valid driver’s license, CDL preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience maintaining industrial or manufacturing equipment; familiarity with sewing machines, laser cutters, die press, or conveyor systems a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain building infrastructure including lighting, doors, plumbing, fixtures, flooring, and general facility structures.
  • Troubleshoot and repair facility issues to minimize disruption to operations.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and work orders across warehouse and office areas.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute a documented preventative maintenance schedule for building systems and operational equipment.
  • Maintain accurate records of preventative maintenance, repairs, and vendor service activities.
  • Ensure operational equipment and facility systems remain safe and functional.
  • Monitor equipment condition and coordinate repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Build and manage relationships with facility vendors and contractors, including negotiating service agreements and holding vendors accountable to performance and cost standards.
  • Ensure facility maintenance activities comply with company safety policies and OSHA standards.
  • Lead and develop a small maintenance team as the facility grows, setting clear expectations and holding team members accountable to performance standards.
  • Operate ladders, lifts, and maintenance tools safely while performing facility work.
