About The Position

As a Builder at David Weekley Homes, you will oversee the residential construction process from breaking ground through completion. You will manage subcontractors, monitor quality, schedules, costs, and safety, and help provide homeowners with a positive building experience through clear communication and dependable follow-through. The role works closely with Sales, Warranty, and the Office Team to deliver a seamless construction and closing process.

Requirements

Prior residential production building experience is required.
Proven ability to schedule, supervise, and motivate trade partners while upholding standards of quality, safety, and craftsmanship.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with homeowners, vendors, and internal teams.
Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to prioritize and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Computer proficiency for job costing, payroll, and communication with vendors, trades, and internal team members.

Nice To Haves

Two or more years of field management experience preferred.
College degree or related professional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide managerial oversight of home construction from breaking ground to completion, ensuring high-quality, on-time, and cost-efficient delivery.
Build relationships with homeowners through clear communication, meetings, and walkthroughs to support customer satisfaction.
Schedule, coordinate, and manage more than 30 subcontractors; maintain relationships and hold teams accountable for quality and safety standards.
Work with Sales, Warranty, and the Office Team to deliver a seamless building and closing experience.
Maintain a professional, clean, and organized job site in accordance with company and safety standards.
Monitor budgets to control construction costs and prepare daily, monthly, and quarterly reports.
