About The Position

Suncoast Enclosures is hiring an experienced Builder (Carpenter) to join their installation crew in Edmonton. This is a permanent full-time opportunity with potential for advancement, leadership, and performance-based bonuses. The role involves installing custom outdoor living solutions like patio covers, motorized screens, and louvered roof systems for residential and commercial clients in Edmonton and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate enjoys hands-on work, values quality, and takes pride in completing projects from start to finish.

Requirements

Carpentry experience required
Proven construction, carpentry, or installation experience
Ability to read measurements and interpret drawings
Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs regularly
Comfortable using ladders, scaffolding, and safety equipment
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Experience leading or mentoring others is an asset

Responsibilities

Install custom outdoor structures including patio enclosures, pergolas, louvered roofs, and retractable screens
Read and work from drawings, measurements, and installation plans
Load, transport, and organize tools and materials at job sites
Operate hand and power tools safely and effectively
Maintain a clean, safe, and professional worksite
Communicate with customers during installations and represent the company professionally
Train and support crew as needed
Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards
