About The Position

The Budtender greets and welcomes patients, helps them select products, follows company policies and procedures, and supports a positive patient experience. The role includes advising patients on cannabis products, processing payments, maintaining the store and sales floor, educating patients on safe product use, handling product packaging and labeling, and completing inventory and opening or closing tasks. Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to pass a background check and receive a state facility agent card.
Sound knowledge of cannabis strains and their medicinal benefits.
Strong organizational skills.
Analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work well with other team members.

Nice To Haves

Proven experience working as a Budtender is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide patients with a positive experience.
Advise patients on suitable cannabis products based on their needs, preferences, budgets, and reactions to different strains.
Keep abreast of new cannabis products and industry trends.
Process patient payments using the dispensary's Point of Sale (POS) system.
Keep the store clean and well-organized.
Educate patients on the safe use of selected cannabis products.
Weigh, package, and label cannabis products as required.
Check patient identification to verify legal age and required credentials to enter the dispensary and purchase products.
Take inventory of cannabis products and ensure the sales floor is adequately stocked.
Complete assigned opening and closing tasks.
Maintain compliance with company and state policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
