About The Position

The Budget Officer supports the planning, preparation, implementation, and monitoring of the Service Order budget in accordance with DFAT and DT Global’s approved financial policies and organizational procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Relevant experience in budgeting, financial management, or accounting
  • Demonstrated knowledge of financial reporting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Understanding of public financial management processes, internal controls, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to analyse financial information, identify trends, and address risks or discrepancies
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial data
  • Ability to explain complex financial information clearly to non-finance staff
  • Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with teams and supporting stakeholders
  • Commitment to transparency, accountability, and ethical financial management
  • Ability to align budgeting processes with local systems and national priorities in Solomon Islands
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
