About The Position

Markon is seeking an experienced Budget Execution Officer to support an Intelligence Customer. This role involves coordinating with various groups to assist in the development and monitoring of the center's budget to ensure proper execution. The officer will track and archive board-approved programmatic and financial requirements, assist with monitoring anticipated resource requirements and actual expenditures for all Front Office activities, and draft financial reports to satisfy internal and external reporting requirements. Additionally, the role includes tracking external stakeholder funding, maintaining configuration management of the Center’s financial and execution documentation, supporting the center’s management of spending authorities, and assisting with budget meetings by preparing necessary documentation and collecting actions. The position also supports the creation of SLAs, DocIDs, BCRs, and BLIs, and provides concurrence on budgetary requests, as well as assisting in drafting SOPs and policies.

Requirements

  • Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
  • 15+ years of experience in federal budget/financial management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Hands-on experience with Agency budget reporting systems.
  • Deep understanding of Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and how to align financial operations accordingly.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain composure and efficiency in dynamic and stressful situations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with experience dealing with customers, executives, and cross-functional teams.
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel, including Pivot Tables and other data visualization tools.

Responsibilities
