About The Position
T-Solutions is seeking a Budget Analyst to support the Surface Combat Systems Center (SCSC) at Wallops Island, Virginia. This role is crucial for the activation, operation, maintenance, and engineering of equipment, systems, and computer programs supporting Naval Sea Systems Command and Program Executive Office, Integrated Warfare Systems missions. SCSC provides integrated warfare capabilities for developing, testing, evaluating, and conducting fleet operations and training.
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of budget related experience.
- Strong mathematical foundation and an analytical mindset.
- Proficient in the use of MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- U.S. citizenship.
- Must have reliable transportation to and from various work locations on base.
- Must maintain the capability to communicate with their supervisor and/or manager when not in the office.
Nice To Haves
- Associate Degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting desired.
- Prior experience with the Navy Enterprise Resource Planning and Defense Travel System desired.
- Certified Budget Specialist (desired)
- Certified Associate in Project Management (desired)
- Active DoW Secret security clearance is highly desired, however candidates who are eligible to obtain and maintain a DoW Secret security clearance will be considered.
Responsibilities
- Apply Federal, Department of War (DoW), and Navy financial regulations, directives, and accounting principles to Navy programs.
- Interface with clients daily to fulfill financial service requirements.
- Maintain accuracy and financial integrity of data within databases.
- Support all aspects of budget formulation and execution.
- Prepare financial and progress reports.
- Conduct financial reconciliations.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommended actions.
- Prepare and present status briefs to a wide audience of stakeholders.
- Prepare and review the accuracy of travel itineraries.
- Research and provide compliance instructions for Federal Travel Regulations.
