This position is within the Department of Health, serving as a BUDGET ANALYST. The role involves assisting in the preparation and collection of data for projections and organization of services and staffing for financial reporting. It requires monitoring and advising on changes in revenue/disbursement data for the annual preparation of DOH-BOCC Core contracts, utilizing specific workbooks, and overseeing the submission of quarterly contract variance reports and amendments. The analyst will also assist in preparing and updating the Fee Resolution. Additionally, the role involves participating in the collection, entry, retrieval, and dissemination of financial management data and reports, highlighting areas of concern, and recommending corrective actions for Trust Fund balance management and funding drawdown. The position also participates in the preparation and timely submission of the annual Medicaid Cost Report, oversees Other Cost Accumulator (OCA) cash management to ensure positive balances and timely drawdown of funds, and manages non-categorical general revenue (NCGRV) spending. The analyst will coordinate and lead quarterly budget meetings with program managers, verify accounting accuracy, and ensure proper execution of program budgets. The role requires responding to community-wide disasters and ensuring compliance with DOH Finance & Accounting policies and procedures, accounting systems, financial audit, and reporting procedures, while meeting established deadlines. Other duties as assigned.
