About The Position

The Budget Analyst provides financial analysis, guidance, and support to school and department administrators and staff in the development, management, and monitoring of annual budgets. This position ensures that sites use district funds responsibly and in compliance with state and federal regulations. The analyst also collaborates with Human Resources and site staff to review and process staffing requests and position changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field, AND One (1) year of budget analysis, accounting or bookkeeping experience. OR Five (5) years of budget analysis, accounting or bookkeeping experience.
  • Proficiency in spreadsheet and financial software (e.g., Excel, ERP systems or district-specific budgeting tools).
  • Working knowledge of governmental or fund accounting principles.
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and support non-financial staff.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to use word processing and database programs.
  • Verbal and written communication skills in English and a demonstrated ability to reach and comprehend written/graphic and oral instructions.
  • FBI fingerprint background check.
  • Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in accounting or related field
  • Two (2) years experience in Federal and State Grants Management program support
  • Knowledge of 21st Century Community Learning Centers Grants program implementation, compliance, and evaluation requirements
  • Experience in using grant program systems for data collection and analysis
  • Experience in submission of Federal and State grant program reports
  • Knowledge of grant records retention requirements.
