About The Position

The Bucket Operator effectively and safely operates a bucket truck to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines. This is a full-time position that requires a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. The role involves assisting in preparing equipment, operating machinery as directed, and maintaining tools and equipment. The operator is also responsible for cleaning up debris, setting up safety barriers, and maintaining positive customer relations. Storm work may be required, and daily reporting using the AMS system is necessary.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Two years’ experience in Vegetation Management.
• Bucket truck operation experience required.
• Knowledge of daily maintenance and safe operations of all equipment used.
• Able to hear verbal instructions from a distance.
• Must have a driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Must have skid steer w/ mulcher operation experience.
• Experience in safe operations and maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Must have experience operating woodchipper.
• Must meet I-9 requirements.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Split dump driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Effectively and safely operates a bucket truck to remove branches and tree material from electrical lines.
• Assist in preparing equipment and materials for each day’s work at Foreperson’s direction.
• Operate equipment as directed by Foreperson.
• Help maintain and repair equipment and tools used in operations.
• Assist other crew members in all aspects of daily activities and take a leadership role when required.
• Cleans up and disposes of all debris.
• Sets up barriers, warning signs, flags, markers, etc. to protect employees and public.
• Keeps informed on new equipment, specifications, standard practices, operating procedures, and customer and company employee relations policies and practices.
• Track and report mileage to Foreperson.
• Perform duties for storm work as needed.
• Performs daily reporting using AMS system to submit timesheets and billing information.
• Maintain above standard customer relations.
• Accident Reporting.
