About The Position

The BU Controller oversees financial reporting, analysis, and control for a defined area with revenue in excess of $50 million. The role is responsible for unit-level reporting, budgets, interim forecasts, and supporting business planning, while ensuring corporate policies and procedures are followed. It identifies control weaknesses, implements cost-control initiatives, monitors financial processes, and drives analysis and productivity improvements across units. The position also supports customer profitability reviews and pricing decisions.

Requirements

Seven years of experience in a related field.
Broad knowledge of finance, controlling, and cash management.
Effective oral and written communication skills.

BS/BA degree in Finance or Accounting (preferred).

Responsibilities

Manage unit-by-unit financial reporting, including month-end reporting, budgets, and interim forecasts.
Support unit managers in preparing business plans and budget submissions.
Ensure corporate policies and procedures are followed at units.
Identify control weaknesses and implement cost-control initiatives.
Test internal controls across accounts payable, billing, payroll, and general ledger processes, including interactions with headquarters and outsourced companies.
Develop KPIs to track material and labor costs by unit.
Analyze financial trends and define and initiate corrective measures.
Drive unit productivity goals through regular continuous-improvement reviews with General Managers and Process Owners.
Assist units with labor planning based on forecasted business changes.
Review customer pricing proposals and assist the Area VP with pricing decisions.
Assist units in maintaining effective customer-level profit-and-loss analysis.
