About The Position

The BTP Solution Engineer is responsible for designing, building, and supporting scalable, secure, and reusable integration solutions on SAP BTP. This role partners closely with enterprise architects, application teams, and business stakeholders to enable system‑to‑system, data, and event‑driven integrations using standardized integration. The engineer will focus on implementing BTP based integrations that support enterprise modernization, data consistency, and reliable connectivity across internal and external platforms.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in SAP or cloud-based integration development
  • Hands-on experience with SAP BTP services (Integration Suite, API Management, Event Mesh)
  • Experience working with APIs, middleware, and data transformation (JSON/XML/IDoc)
  • Strong understanding of SAP ecosystems (ECC, S/4HANA, PO/PI, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud platforms and integration patterns
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment models.
  • Ability to troubleshoot integration issues across distributed systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SAP Extension Suite / CAP / UI5 / Node.js / Java
  • Knowledge of DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines
  • Exposure to Azure Integration or hybrid integration architectures
  • Understanding of event-driven and microservices architectures
  • SAP BTP or Integration Suite certifications

Responsibilities

  • Design and build integrations using SAP BTP services (e.g., Integration Suite, APIs, Event Mesh).
  • Develop inbound, outbound, and bidirectional interfaces between SAP and non-SAP systems.
  • Perform data transformation (JSON, XML, IDoc) and mapping based on business requirements.
  • Partner with application owners and business teams to understand integration requirements, data sensitivity, and non‑functional needs.
  • Ensure integrations meet security, privacy, and compliance requirements, especially for sensitive data flows.
  • Support integration testing, deployment, monitoring, and production issue resolution.
  • Participate in Agile delivery ceremonies, backlog refinement, and estimation activities.
  • Contribute to documentation, design artifacts, and operational runbooks for Integration Hub solutions.
  • Participate in technical design, including interface logic, APIs, and event-driven architectures.
