The BSA/AML department is dedicated to protecting the Bank from illicit activity related to money laundering and terrorist financing. A BSA Quality Control (QC) Analyst is a BSA/AML industry expert with strong attention to detail who adheres to department policies, procedures and regulations. This role combines technical expertise while ensuring high-quality work, regulatory compliance, and consistent application of department policies and procedures. The role supports various processes covered by the BSA Policy, including anti-money laundering (AML)/countering the financing of terrorism (CFT), and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) compliance. This role provides independent, ongoing monitoring to ensure regulatory compliance, internal policy adherence, and data integrity, as well as adequacy, effectiveness, and efficiency of internal controls. Responsible for completing assigned work within SLA, as well as completing work to procedural and regulatory standards. Conduct root-cause analysis to identify systemic issues or procedural weaknesses. Provide effective and timely communication to management on matters requiring attention and provide timely and essential communication to the team as required. Support the design, maintenance, and execution of AML/BSA Quality Control (QC) Procedure. Comfort in operating in ambiguity; executing sound judgment when procedures or policy have room for interpretation. It is not expected that policy/procedure will cover every scenario. It is necessary to have a curious mindset coupled with strong risk management and logical thinking skills.
