Requirements
- Master's degree in the discipline being taught or a closely related field required.
- B.S. Business Administration: Leadership, Operations, Marketing, Ethics, Law, Finance, Small Business, Entrepreneurship, Strategic Decision Making, Workplace Wellness, Human Resource Management
- Committed to empowering adult learners
- Have experience with students juggling multiple responsibilities
- Work well with colleagues to support students
- Have an advanced degree with relevant experience
- Prioritize teaching
Nice To Haves
- Three or more years of postsecondary teaching experience preferred.
- Experience teaching adult learners, particularly in a community college setting, strongly preferred.
- Experience teaching in an online or distance-learning environment preferred
- Research, scholarship, or thought leadership
- Community involvement or social change work
Responsibilities
- Engage in your classroom at least 4 days per week
- Facilitate discussion board conversations
- Assess student work with caring, timely feedback
- Be available via video or phone when needed
- Create a supportive virtual classroom where students feel safe
- Potentially collaborate on developing course content
- Serve on committees
- Support college needs or course maintenance
- Collaborate with colleagues on faculty-lead and leadership directed projects
