About The Position

Are you a recent graduate looking to kickstart your career and gain professional experience in reinsurance? We have an opportunity for you within our Treaty, Reinsurance team in Toronto, ON! This is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work both virtually and from our offices. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada. This role is not eligible for sponsorship, and we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa or work permit. We are seeking a motivated person to join Aon as a broker. Expect working in a dynamic, developing role uncovering opportunities, and bringing valuable technical and financial solutions to insurance company clients and colleagues in the Aon World. Our clients are some of the most prominent insurance companies in Canada and globally. As a valued member of the leading broking firm in Canada, the focus of this role is to work very closely with the Canadian Reinsurance Broking Team to assist in servicing existing property and casualty treaty clients and in the discovery, development, delivery, and review of new business opportunities to bring value for client and fulfill our purpose.

Requirements

  • Completed Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, Actuarial Mathematics, or similar majors

  • Effective communicator in English and French (both verbally and in writing) with internal and external clients

Responsibilities

  • Prepare reinsurance
  • respond to queries from reinsurers
  • evaluate quotations to settle recommended terms
  • draft client presentations
  • prepare draft contract documentation
  • Attend meetings and/or functions with clients, prospects, and reinsurers, on a regular basis
  • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with reinsurers and clients
  • Support the team's prospecting and servicing of insurers, reciprocals, and captives
  • Ensure that best in class content and capabilities are delivered to clients, as well as meeting unmet needs through innovation
