About The Position

The Broadcast Production Tech assists with live and pre-recorded production for the district and supports campus broadcast programs by providing equipment and software training. The role collaborates with district departments on broadcasts and events, including athletics, high school graduations, and the Marching Band Showcase. It also assists the Broadcast Director with production tasks and supports equipment installation, programming, and training for the Career and Technical Education Center TV studio. This position is for current Frisco ISD students only and requires a minimum age of 16. Work days vary by season.

Requirements

• Must be a current Frisco ISD student.
• Minimum age of 16.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow procedures and guidelines.
• Experience in a live production environment.
• Knowledge of production software and hardware.
• Knowledge of basic computer hardware and software applications.
• Ability to troubleshoot and correct basic technology-related problems.
• Knowledge of Google Suite, including Docs, Sheets, and Forms.
• Knowledge of Adobe Suite, including After Effects, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Fine Arts, Student Services, Athletics, and Communication departments to promote district programs and student achievements.
• Assist in producing playoff athletic broadcasts.
• Assist in scheduling production crews and writing production scripts for high school graduation ceremonies.
• Produce live broadcast streams of high school graduation ceremonies with the Student Services Department.
• Record, edit, and create digital downloads of high school graduation ceremonies.
• Plan, assist with, and produce the Marching Band Showcase with the Fine Arts Department.
• Write production scripts, create basic graphics, and assist the Broadcast Director in broadcast production.
• Oversee and advise on equipment installation, programming, and training for the Career and Technical Education Center TV studio.
• Support campus broadcast programs through equipment and software training.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
