About The Position

We’re looking for a Broadcast IT Engineer to join our team at KTTC and KBJR. This isn't just about fixing computers; it’s about owning the digital backbone of our stations and ensuring our content reaches our audience across every platform, from the big screen to the smartphone.

Requirements

Deep understanding of VM systems and Windows Active Directory management.
Understanding of the inner workings of a broadcast facility and how IT integrates with A/V equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot computers down to the board level.
Understanding that serial and IP communication are the lifeblood of media.
Ability to thrive in high-stress situations and handle the physical demands of the job, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Associate’s Degree in Electronics, Computer Science, or a related field (or higher).
At least 2 years of experience with Windows OS, e-mail systems, FTP servers, and TCP/IP networking.
Team player who can work closely with Chief Engineers, Department Heads, and Corporate IT to get the job done.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain the computer systems and network infrastructure that power our daily operations.
Implement and maintain "crossover" systems that blend traditional Audio/Video with modern IT infrastructure.
Support and maintain the automation systems that keep our On-Air and Live Production running without a hitch.
Aid in the implementation of robust computer and network security policies to keep our data and broadcasts safe.
Manage software licensing and ensure all systems are updated and optimized for peak performance.
Act as one of the primary points of contact for corporate IT and help maintain our internal trouble ticket system, supporting everyone from News and Production to Sales.
Provide technical assistance for remote broadcasts, ensuring our team can deliver high-quality content from anywhere.
