About The Position

We are seeking a Broadband Triage Engineer to support software quality, field issue resolution, root-cause analysis, and operational efficiency across broadband devices and RDK-based platforms. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with C/C++, Python, Linux, networking protocols, troubleshooting, packet capture analysis, AWS, and operational monitoring. Experience across broadband technologies such as Wi-Fi/Mesh, DOCSIS, Fiber, LTE, or similar access network technologies is highly relevant.

Requirements

Strong hands-on experience with C/C++.
Strong Python experience.
Strong Linux experience.
Experience with networking protocols and troubleshooting.
Experience with packet capture analysis.
Experience with log management and analysis tools, including: Elastic Stack / ELK, Splunk, Grafana.
Proven expertise in at least one scripting language such as Bash, Python, or Go.
Experience with AWS services such as S3, Athena, and/or QuickSight.
Experience with SQL and/or Amazon Athena.
Experience with Jira or other defect tracking tools.
Experience with Git and GitHub.
Experience troubleshooting broadband or access-network technologies.
Experience serving in a Technical Lead or Senior Engineering role.
Experience mentoring a small team of engineers.
Ability to make sound technical decisions and communicate the rationale effectively to engineering stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

Experience with one or more of the following broadband technologies is highly relevant: RDK Broadband, Wi-Fi / EasyMesh, DOCSIS, Fiber, LTE, Access Network Technologies.

Responsibilities

Ensure timely and high-quality software releases across diverse broadband devices by proactively monitoring metrics and alerting systems.
Respond promptly to critical field issues and identify root causes.
Develop and implement effective mitigation strategies for production and field issues.
Troubleshoot end-to-end issues across broadband devices and RDK broadband components, including: Wi-Fi / Mesh, DOCSIS, Fiber, LTE, Similar access network technologies.
Conduct source code reviews to identify root causes within individual components and the broader platform.
Diagnose and resolve issues using Linux systems and networking protocols.
Perform packet capture analysis during troubleshooting and root-cause investigations.
Design and enhance operational tools to improve system performance and efficiency.
Architect DevOps solutions supporting broadband operations.
Leverage AWS services including S3, Athena, and QuickSight to analyze data from millions of field devices.
Deliver insights from field-device data to support operational decision-making and improve efficiency.
Develop and implement anomaly detection techniques and data-driven solutions to proactively identify system issues.
Perform global metric comparisons across different device models.
