About The Position

This role involves operating Bridgeport machines, lathes, and surface grinders to manufacture clamps and repair tool holders. The operator will be responsible for setting up and running Bridgeport operations on aerospace parts, communicating with various departments to resolve issues, and maintaining a clean and orderly work environment. The position also includes performing basic preventative maintenance and adhering to company quality, safety, and environmental regulations.

Requirements

• Must be familiar with bridgeports, lathes and surface grinders.
• Must be able to read blueprints.
• Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must be able to communicate in English (both oral and written) as it relates to the job.
• Must be adaptable to a changing work environment.
• Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, division, geometry and algebra for the purpose of calculating material fabrication.
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a job-shop environment.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

• Setup and run Bridgeport operations on aerospace parts.
• Make clamps and repair tool holders.
• Communicate with supervisor, engineers, production control, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve issues.
• Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance functions on equipment.
• Adhere and comply with state and federal law, the Company AS9100 quality program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and Environmental regulations.
• May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
