About The Position

V3 Companies is seeking a Bridge Structural Engineer to join its Structural team and contribute to bridge and transportation projects. The role is available in the Woodridge/Chicago, Illinois; Indianapolis, Indiana; Columbus, Ohio; and Denver, Colorado offices. The engineer will collaborate with designers, engineers, and scientists across V3 and work with other disciplines on multidisciplinary projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 4–8 years of experience in bridge design, analysis, load rating, and inspection.
• Experience with projects for clients such as departments of transportation and state and local municipalities.
• Familiarity with AASHTO, AREMA, IDOT, and ISTHA design standards.
• Proficiency in MicroStation.
• Knowledge of design software including OpenBridge Designer, MDX, LPile, and STAAD.
• EIT license required.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree with a structural focus.
• Familiarity with OpenBridge Modeler.
• PE or SE license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare engineering drawings, including 3D bridge models.
• Perform structural analysis and design calculations.
• Perform bridge inspections and load ratings.
• Perform quantity and cost estimate calculations.
• Prepare construction specifications.
• Collaborate with other V3 disciplines on multifaceted projects.
• Perform other duties as needed.
