DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position supports the inspection of bridges and related structures to help ensure they meet safety standards and construction requirements. Primary responsibilities will involve field work, documentation, and teamwork to help maintain safe and reliable transportation routes. As a Bridge Inspector, you will perform the following duties: Bridge Inspections: Inspect bridge components and identify signs of wear, damage, or deterioration Field Measurements: Measure and record conditions of structural members and site features Report Preparation: Prepare inspection reports that document findings and needed repairs Record Maintenance: Maintain inspection records, photos, sketches, and project documentation Support Surveys: Assist with underwater inspections, deck surveys, and crane inspections Project Coordination: Work with staff, agencies, and the public to support inspection activities Interested in learning more? Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. This position requires travel. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Dunmore. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
