About The Position

Wilson & Company’s Albuquerque office is seeking a full-time Engineer in Training to support its Bridge Engineering group. The role involves bridge and structural design work and collaboration with other disciplines, project managers, support staff, and clients. The ideal candidate is a self-starter with strong communication skills, attention to detail, and an interest in advancing a career in civil design in a professional, team-oriented setting.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related curriculum, from an ABET-accredited school.
• Engineering Intern Certification.
• 0–2+ years of experience in civil design focused on bridges or structures.
• Strong work ethic and understanding of engineering principles.
• Experience with CADD, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation.
• Teamwork and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, including Word and Excel.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with peers, senior staff, and clients.
• Ability to work effectively with other engineers and technicians.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroStation software is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic bridge and structural design.
• Support the production of construction plans and documents.
• Complete quantity take-offs and cost estimating.
• Coordinate with internal and external disciplines.
