About The Position

The Bridal Sales Stylist provides a positive, friendly, empathetic, and professional selling experience for customers while delivering 5-Star Customer Service, achieving sales and productivity goals, and supporting store presentation and operations. Stylists serve as David’s Bridal brand ambassadors and demonstrate the brand’s values and critical success factors. The role reports to the Store Manager in partnership with the Sales Manager. The Stylist welcomes and assists customers, prepares for appointments, learns about customers’ needs, recommends gowns and related products, and uses store systems and iPad tools to manage customer flow and share product information. The role includes promoting alterations and personalization services, taking and entering measurements, maintaining store standards, processing transactions, following special-order procedures, and supporting sales, service, and operational goals. Stylists also complete required training, develop product and fashion knowledge, support team members, and respond to coaching and feedback.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent degree.
Ability to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and communicate with and hear customers.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
Ability to see near and far, use peripheral vision and depth perception, and use a computer and electronic devices for extended periods.

Nice To Haves

One to two years of prior retail experience in an apparel, service, or specialty store environment.
Prior experience with a computerized point-of-sale system.

Responsibilities

Welcome customers in person and over the phone with friendly enthusiasm, communicating clearly and adapting to customer needs.
Use appointment, customer, and point-of-sale systems, along with iPad tools, to manage customer flow and provide product information.
Provide exceptional service to multiple customers, address concerns, and escalate issues to store leadership when appropriate.
Prepare for appointments by reviewing customer profiles and favorites and preparing fitting rooms.
Build relationships with customers by asking questions, listening to their expectations, and identifying suitable gowns or dresses.
Review the Timeline Calendar, set future appointments, and follow up with customers.
Promote alterations services and personalization options, and partner with Alterations Specialists to arrange appointments.
Support the store goal of converting 80% of brides sold to Alterations appointments.
Take and enter accurate measurements for dress orders to help minimize returns and exchanges.
Maintain clean, organized, promotion-ready store standards and report broken or damaged equipment to management.
Meet dress-code standards and offer the David’s Bridal loyalty and partners program.
Respond promptly to customer questions and provide product and service information.
Meet hourly sales productivity standards by using the 5-Step Selling Process.
Support cash-wrap behaviors and process transactions accurately, including offering add-ons and services, confirming contact information, reviewing receipts and policies, and scheduling future appointments.
Follow procedures for special-order dresses and work toward stated conversion and add-on goals.
Set return appointments for the wedding party, including bridesmaids, the mother of the bride, and flower girls.
Build product knowledge and fashion trend expertise through training and ongoing learning; strive to exceed sales targets and become a Circle of Excellence member.
Carry out assigned processes, behaviors, contests, programs, promotions, sign setup, merchandising and visual changes, markdowns, and inventory counts.
Support store sales, service, and operational goals; accurately record scheduled shifts, breaks, and meals; and follow loss prevention and security policies.
Complete assigned training and myLearning courses, celebrate team successes, share sales expertise and product knowledge, and use coaching and feedback to improve.
Perform additional duties as needed.
