About The Position

Heartline Staffing, in partnership with Purple Cow Recruiting, is hiring an Ultrasound Technologist for a full-time Breast Imaging role in Boston, Massachusetts. This position is based in a hospital-based breast imaging department and may require supporting multiple campuses or coverage needs. The role involves performing diagnostic sonographic imaging for radiologists, supporting clinical workflow and patient care operations within the breast imaging department.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or certificate in Diagnostic Medical Sonography REQUIRED
• ARDMS certification (OB or AB or RVT) REQUIRED
• Accreditation required prior to hire (OB/GYN exception allows 1 year)
• Minimum 1 year experience in a Breast Imaging setting REQUIRED
• Knowledge of ultrasound principles and equipment REQUIRED
• Strong communication and patient care skills REQUIRED

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of ultrasound exams to support departmental workflow
• Assist physicians with invasive procedures including biopsies and aspirations
• Prepare exam rooms and ultrasound equipment according to safety protocols
• Ensure proper patient preparation, positioning, and comfort
• Monitor patient condition during exams and escalate concerns as needed
• Provide accurate imaging and follow radiologist requirements
• Maintain documentation, data entry, and compliance with department standards
• Operate systems including PACS, RIS, and Epic
• Maintain equipment and support operational readiness
• Participate in quality control and department operations
