About The Position

Ultrasound Technologist at Providence St. Jude Medical Center, Fullerton, CA. This position is PT and will work 8-hour, Day shifts. Under the general supervision of the Supervisor Sonography and the Manager Diagnostic Imaging, the Ultrasound Technologist will perform a variety of ultrasound (US) imaging examinations using the proper ultrasound practices. Performs various ultrasound procedures according to accepted department protocols and hospital policies. Performs a variety of ultrasound procedures for patients of any age group for diagnostic purposes according to department, hospital, and regulatory agency standards. Assist Radiologist and referring physicians as needed to perform ultrasound procedures. In addition, the Ultrasound Technologist will work closely with the radiologists, other modalities, inpatient and outpatient ultrasound departments, and will serve as a liaison to scheduling and referring physician offices. Requirements

  • Associate’s degree and or equivalent education / experience in Ultrasound Technology.
  • Maintain required continuing education hours necessary to renew license/certification.
  • National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Upon hire).
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association (Upon hire).
  • Experience in cross-sectional anatomy, as well as the principles of physics, related to Ultrasound.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years' experience.
