About The Position

Radiology Associates of Florida is seeking a Breast Radiologist to join their growing practice in Sarasota, Florida. This partnership-track position focuses heavily on Breast Imaging (>90%) within a state-of-the-art Breast Health center at Sarasota Memorial Hospital. The service is a priority for the hospital, which has a new Cancer Institute and an adjacent Outpatient Pavilion that will be the flagship site for the Breast Imaging practice. The practice also supports the new SMH – Venice hospital. Services include screening mammography (tomosynthesis), diagnostic mammography and ultrasound, breast MRI, and all types of breast interventions using stereo, ultrasound, and MRI. Breast Radiologists work as a team in a shared space, collaborating with referring surgeons, primary care physicians, and pathologists through weekly clinical conferences. Workdays are Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm. An optional internal moonlighting program offers flexibility for remote work.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy
Residency trained in the practice of Diagnostic Radiology
Board eligible or certified by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology
MQSA Required
Medical license or the ability to obtain a license in the state of FL

Responsibilities

Perform screening mammography (with a high penetration of tomosynthesis), diagnostic mammography and ultrasound, and breast MRI.
Perform the whole range of breast interventions, using stereo, ultrasound, and MRI.
Function as a team with other Breast Radiologists, working in the same physical footprint to support one another.
Act as central members in a multi-specialty team.
Work closely with referring surgeons, primary care physicians, and pathologists, participating in weekly clinical conferences.
Participate in an internal moonlighting program (optional).
