About The Position

Coastal Radiology, a Radiology Partners affiliate, is seeking a Breast Imaging Radiologist to join their team in New Bern, North Carolina. This is a partnership-track position with a heavy concentration of Breast Imaging (up to 100%). Candidates can opt for general diagnostic shifts and emergency call if desired. The practice focuses on screening mammography, diagnostic mammography and ultrasound, and breast MRI, performing a full range of breast interventions using stereo, ultrasound, and MRI. The ideal candidate is proficient in all aspects of women’s imaging and breast procedures. The practice has an established infrastructure for efficient, collaborative workflow. The position offers 9-hour shifts between 8 AM-5 PM, Monday – Friday, with potential for mixed on-site and off-site work. A generous compensation package, commencement bonus, relocation assistance, and a 1-year partnership track are offered. Benefits include all medical benefits, med malpractice, retirement funding, and 10 weeks of PTO, increasing to 12 weeks as a partner.

Requirements

Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy.
Board-certified and residency trained in the practice of Diagnostic Radiology.
Board certified/eligible by American Board of Radiology or the American Osteopathic Board of Radiology.
MQSA qualified.
Licensed or ability to obtain a license in North Carolina.
Excellent communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Completed one year of post-residency fellowship training in Breast Imaging preferred, but not required.
Candidates on a J1 visa will be considered.

Responsibilities

Perform screening mammography, diagnostic mammography and ultrasound, and breast MRI.
Perform the whole range of breast interventions, using stereo, ultrasound and MRI.
Maintain proficiency in general diagnostic skills (optional).
Participate in general diagnostic shifts and emergency call (optional).
