Requirements

Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing and hold an unencumbered New York license.
Nursing Experience which one has acquired clinical competence preferred
Excellent assessment, communication and organizational skills
Good computer knowledge

Nice To Haves

Bi-Lingual, English/Spanish a plus
HemOnc experience preferred

Responsibilities

Provide education regarding biopsy preparation, post-procedure expectations, and follow-up instructions via phone call
Review, track, and document pathology results, ensuring all findings are communicated to the appropriate radiologist for review.
Notify patients of all benign pathology results and ensure understanding of recommendations.
Assist patients in navigating follow-appointments and referrals and ensure all necessary orders are placed correctly in the EMR.
Conducting outreach to patients requiring additional diagnostic imaging or follow-up after mammography screenings.
Communicate with and assist patients who are due or overdue for annual mammography screenings.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the EMR.
