About The Position

Onsite Women's Health (OWH) is a leading provider of in-office breast health and imaging services, partnering with healthcare providers nationwide. OWH offers comprehensive in-office breast health and imaging services, including 3D screening mammography with AI for cancer detection. The company emphasizes convenience to improve breast cancer screening compliance, offering services within primary care or OBGYN practices, scheduled alongside annual exams. This role is under the general direction of practice physicians, off-site radiologists, Regional Director, and Area Manager. The position involves working directly with practice providers, administrators, staff, radiologists, hospitals, and imaging centers. The role offers a Monday-Friday work schedule with no weekends, focusing on patient-centric care and ensuring eligible patients receive annual screening mammograms and ultrasounds.

Requirements

  • College degree preferred
  • Minimum of 2-4 years of practical experience
  • Very strong computer skills (Windows, Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • Experience with electronic Medical Record systems (EMR) preferred
  • Ability to perform responsibilities with a high degree of accuracy with minimal supervision
  • Must be able to maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times

Responsibilities

  • Specializes in the production of screening exams for the detection of breast cancers and lesions.
  • Responsible for the initial and ongoing success of the mammography/ultrasound service in the practice.
  • Assist practice in all ways possible to be sure all eligible age-appropriate patients have annual screening mammograms and ultrasounds.
  • Prepares patients for the mammographic/U/S procedure.
  • Explains procedures to the patient to reduce anxieties and obtain patient cooperation.
  • Moves ultrasound equipment to specific positions and adjusts controls to ensure optimal scanning based on knowledge of the ultrasound system techniques and protocols.
  • Follows prescribed safety standards in operating all required equipment.
  • Examines images for image quality.
  • Ensures equipment is in proper working order at all times.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Processes routine paperwork and all required data entry.
  • Participates in professional development activities and maintains professional affiliations.
  • Super user of practice's Electronic Health Record software.
  • Maintains image movement and management to the offsite radiologist.
  • Performs mammography tracking with the mammographer following MQSA guidelines and requirements.
  • Responsible for a variety of coordinative and administrative support functions such as researching patient information, compiling data, preparing reports, obtaining prior patient images, and patient compliance.
  • May have coverage responsibilities for multiple locations.
  • Performs all other duties as may be assigned.
