About The Position

The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the non-tenure clinician educator track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Breast Imaging. The clinical mission of the Division of Breast Imaging is to provide individually tailored comprehensive evaluations for the early detection and diagnosis of breast diseases. Our Breast Imaging Division, accredited by the American College of Radiology, provides screening and problem-solving mammography, breast MRI, and multimodality intervention for outpatients at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania and its satellite locations.

Requirements

  • M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
  • American Board of Radiology certified or eligible.
  • Sub-specialty training in Breast Imaging.
  • Prior research experience.
  • Demonstrated evidence of peer-reviewed scholarship.

Responsibilities

  • Daily clinical supervision of residents and breast imaging fellows.
  • Lecturing to medical students, radiology residents, fellows, and trainees from other departments.
  • Utilizing the most advanced breast imaging technology available to provide individually tailored, comprehensive evaluations for the early and precise detection and diagnosis of breast diseases.
  • Conducting high-quality interventional breast procedures, including stereotactic, ultrasound-guided, and MRI-guided biopsies.
  • Developing a focused body of research in a field within breast imaging, including clinical and translational research on applying imaging methods to the detection, diagnosis, and evaluation of breast disease.
