About The Position

Cambria Hotel Portland, a Colwen Hotels Property, is seeking an experienced and friendly part-time Breakfast Server. The server is the face of the restaurant and provides memorable experiences for guests through attentive, upbeat service. The role may also involve performing a variety of duties in multiple departments during a shift and other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

Ability to maintain personal hygiene.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Ability to work a 7-day rotational schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience as a server preferred.

Responsibilities

Welcome guests with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly greeting, using their names whenever possible.
Take food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen.
Deliver food, beverages, condiments, and other requested items.
Answer menu questions and maintain knowledge of menu items and their composition.
Check that food is prepared correctly and meets guest expectations; return incorrect or improperly cooked items to the kitchen.
Collect plates and clear tables as guests finish their meals.
Follow Colwen and brand food-and-beverage service standards and comply with state liquor policies.
Clean designated areas according to established procedures.
Keep sideboards adequately stocked.
Set tables to standards and ensure items are clean and in good repair.
Prepare guest checks and collect payment.
Assist with other restaurant tasks, including cleaning the dining area and preparing silverware and condiments.
Perform other related duties as assigned, including duties in multiple departments during a shift.
