About The Position

The Breakfast Host is responsible for welcoming guests to the lobby-breakfast bar and providing fast and courteous service to ensure an enjoyable dining experience and repeat business. This role involves setting up the Hot “On the House" breakfast according to Hotel franchise Breakfast guidelines, consistently interacting with guests to provide a superior breakfast experience, and communicating feedback to hotel management. The host must maintain food service quality and safety standards, ensuring a clean work environment that meets County Health Codes and Hotel Quality assurance requirements. The position requires excellent customer service skills, a stable work history, and the ability to work an entire shift on feet at a quick pace. Flexibility to work any shift, including weekends, is essential. The ideal candidate will be emotionally competent, able to manage disruptive emotions, stay composed, positive, and focused under pressure, and promote the hotel with a positive attitude and energy. The role also involves anticipating guests' needs and embracing diversity.

Requirements

  • Preferably 6 month’s experience in any field where exceeding customers’ expectations were met
  • Be flexible and willing to perform other tasks as necessary or requested
  • Must have excellent customer service skills and a stable work history
  • Must be able to work entire shift on feet at a quick pace
  • Must be flexible to work any shift as needed to include weekends
  • Emotionally competent; able to effectively manage disruptive emotions and impulses; able to stay composed, positive, and unflappable even in trying moments while thinking clearly and remaining focused under pressure
  • Ability to anticipate guests’ needs
  • Embraces and respects diversity and multicultural environment
  • Background screening for previous criminal history
  • Employment may be contingent upon at least 80% score on test on hotel’s reservations system (PMS) after training
  • At least a high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Computer Experience: Microsoft Word, Excel, Data entry, Database management systems

  • Consistently interact with the guests in an effort to provide a superior breakfast experience
  • Communicate feedback to hotel management
  • Maintain Food Service quality and safety standards
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment that meets both County Health Codes and the Hotel Quality assurance requirements
  • Wear hotel uniform in compliance with hotel standards
  • Promote the hotel by demonstrating a high level of positive attitude and energy to serve our guests
  • Anticipate guests’ needs
