About The Position

The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing and maintaining the breakfast bar for hotel guests, ensuring a friendly and consistent service experience aligned with brand and sustainability standards. Key duties involve the physical handling of food, dishes, trays, and silverware, setting up appealing food displays, and rigorously maintaining cleanliness to uphold food safety. The role also includes routine tasks such as wiping tables, clearing dirty dishes for cleaning, managing spills and trash, and ensuring adequate supplies of items like glassware and condiments. The attendant is expected to fill beverage and ice dispensers, stock serving areas, and assist guests by locating requested items. Furthermore, the position requires cleaning and polishing various surfaces and equipment within the pantry and breakfast area, including mopping or vacuuming floors. A focus on guest satisfaction scores and adherence to HHM’s EarthView sustainability program are integral to the role, alongside practicing safe work habits and using necessary safety equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Carry food, dishes, trays, or silverware from pantry to serving counters.
  • Set up attractive food displays and maintain cleanliness to ensure food safety.
  • Wipe tables or seats with dampened cloths.
  • Scrape and stack dirty dishes and carry dishes and other tableware to kitchens for cleaning.
  • Clean up spilled food, drink or broken dishes and remove trash.
  • Maintain adequate supplies of items such as clean glassware, dishes, or trays.
  • Fill beverage and ice dispensers.
  • Stock cabinets or serving areas with condiments and refill condiment containers.
  • Locate and provide items requested by guests.
  • Clean and polish counters, shelves, walls, furniture, or equipment in pantry or breakfast area and mop or vacuum floors.
  • Be aware of guest satisfaction scores and work toward increasing departmental and overall guest satisfaction.
  • Follow sustainability guidelines and practices related to HHM’s EarthView program.
  • Practice safe work habits and use required safety equipment.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as requested by management.
