About The Position

We are seeking a friendly, reliable, and detail-oriented Breakfast Attendant to join our hospitality team and help start our guests’ mornings on a positive note. The Breakfast Attendant is responsible for preparing, setting up, maintaining, and cleaning the daily continental breakfast buffet. This position ensures that all guests receive prompt, courteous service and that the breakfast area reflects The Christiania’s high standards of cleanliness and presentation.

Requirements

  • Previous food service or hotel experience preferred, but not required.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor with a focus on guest satisfaction.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
  • Current Food Handler’s or ServSafe certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and restock breakfast items according to daily standards.
  • Greet guests warmly and assist with food or beverage requests.
  • Maintain buffet presentation and ensure items are fresh and well-supplied.
  • Monitor dining area cleanliness, clear tables, and sanitize surfaces regularly.
  • Brew coffee, set up juice dispensers, and handle light food prep as needed.
  • Maintain safe food handling and sanitation procedures in compliance with health codes.
  • Communicate any maintenance or supply needs to management.
  • Break down and clean all breakfast equipment and areas at the end of service.
  • Smile and greet every guest especially when they’re in proximity.
  • Provide quick and efficient service.
  • Remember guest names and use them often in interactions.
  • Offer assistance and provide options to guests.
  • Emphasize creating a positive guest experience and building lasting connections by thanking guests and inviting them back.
