About The Position
Clow Valve's Metal Casting Facility has an immediate opening for a 1st Shift Brass Shipping Forklift. This role is responsible for transferring loads of materials and finished goods throughout the brass department. Clow Valve is a leading manufacturer of water valves and fire hydrants and is a division of McWane Corporation.
Requirements
- Must be able to operate moving vehicles, including crane, truck, or forklift
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Stand up to 2 hours per day.
- Ability to utilize PPE including: safety glasses, hearing protection, metatarsal guarded boots, and others required.
- Ability to understand and operate forklift in a safe manner.
Responsibilities
- Inspecting their forklift and filling out inspection paperwork.
- Visually assessing and clearing their traffic area of people, objects, and other forklift traffic.
- Inspect loads verifying they are secure for transport and accurate.
- Transfer to designated location throughout the facility by complying with all safety rules and regulations.
- Cross train on other positions as needed
