About The Position

The Brand Storytelling & Social Media Specialist is responsible for capturing, developing, and sharing meaningful stories that reflect the mission, impact, and values of the Visiting Nurse Association of the Treasure Coast (VNATC). This role serves as the organization’s lead content storyteller and primary social media strategist, creating compelling patient, family, volunteer, donor, clinician, and associate stories that elevate community awareness, strengthen trust, support recruitment, increase engagement, and enhance brand presence. This role manages VNATC’s social media channels, digital storytelling strategy, campaign content calendar, online reputation engagement, and visual content development while ensuring all communications align with VNATC’s mission, voice, values, privacy standards, and overall marketing initiatives. The ideal candidate is a highly creative, emotionally intelligent communicator who can respectfully interview individuals, identify impactful stories, create engaging content, and execute strategic digital campaigns that support organizational goals. The associate must integrate and demonstrate VNATC’s iCARE values of Integrity, Collaboration, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence in all aspects of work.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Digital Media, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in social media management, storytelling, content marketing, communications, or related role.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, interviewing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong social media strategy and execution experience.
  • Experience with photography, smartphone video capture, and content editing.
  • Proficiency with Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, or similar creative tools.
  • Experience using scheduling platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, or similar.
  • Strong organizational skills and deadline management.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally for story gathering and events.
  • Ability to sit, stand, walk, travel locally, lift up to 25 lbs occasionally, and use computer/mobile devices regularly.
  • Ability to attend events, field visits, and community activities as needed.
  • This position requires a screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in home health, hospice, private duty, or healthcare operations.
  • Familiarity with EVV, scheduling platforms, EHR/documentation systems.
  • Experience with SharePoint/Confluence, LMS platforms, and eLearning tools (Articulate/Rise).
  • Workflow mapping tools (Visio/Lucidchart) and screen capture tools (Snagit/Camtasia).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish or Haitian Creole) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and produce compelling stories involving patients, families, caregivers, volunteers, associates, donors, and community partners.
  • Conduct interviews with compassion, professionalism, and emotional intelligence.
  • Write feature stories, testimonials, spotlight articles, campaign narratives, blogs, newsletters, and web content.
  • Capture mission moments that demonstrate VNATC’s impact across hospice, home health, private care, community health, thrift store, and philanthropy.
  • Partner with leadership to identify strategic storytelling opportunities.
  • Ensure all stories maintain dignity, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead management of all organizational social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other channels as assigned.
  • Develop and maintain a monthly strategic content calendar.
  • Create, schedule, publish, and optimize posts across all platforms.
  • Produce short-form video, reels, graphics, photos, and campaign content.
  • Monitor comments, messages, reviews, and audience engagement professionally and timely.
  • Support paid social campaigns and boosted content as approved.
  • Grow followers, reach, engagement, and community trust.
  • Support campaigns for census/admissions growth, Private Care lead generation, recruitment marketing, Nurses Week / Hospice Month / recognition initiatives, Foundation fundraising and events, Hidden Treasures promotions, Volunteer recruitment, and Community education events.
  • Maintain consistent brand voice, tone, and visual standards.
  • Protect reputation through professional online presence management.
  • Ensure HIPAA/privacy compliance and proper releases for all content.
  • Support crisis communication messaging as needed.
  • Track key performance indicators including reach, engagement, clicks, conversions, followers, campaign ROI, and audience growth.
  • Prepare monthly performance dashboards and recommendations.
  • Use analytics to improve future campaign effectiveness.
  • Work closely with Clinical Operations, Foundation, HR/People & Culture, Volunteer Services, Hidden Treasures, and leadership teams.
  • Support internal recognition and culture campaigns aligned with iCARE values.
