About The Position

Black Forest Labs is hiring its first Brand & Marketing Design Lead to define and own the company’s brand across launches, its website, events, and other customer-facing work. This hands-on lead role will involve producing much of the design work while creating tools, systems, and processes that help others produce consistent, high-quality work. Over time, the role will also help shape the growth of brand and marketing design at BFL, including future hiring. The designer will develop the visual identity and its guidelines, direct creative for model launches, campaigns, and events, and create work across online and offline channels. They will own the direction of bfl.ai and its growth pages, create templates and internal tools—including an agent-readable design system—and work with product design on shared foundations so the company’s product surfaces feel cohesive. Design at BFL is still developing. The role will help establish review practices, define what finished work means, and represent design across the company. The designer will work closely with Devran, who leads design, and collaborate with marketing, growth, developer relations, research, and product design. The role can be office-based in Freiburg or San Francisco, or remote-first. Remote-first employees are expected to spend one full week per month in an office. Office-based arrangements involve regular in-person attendance, with the specific arrangement discussed during interviews.
