About The Position

Aimé Leon Dore is looking for a Brand Image Director to set and uphold the visual standard across every customer touchpoint. Working closely with the VP of Brand and the Marketing team, this person will make sure the brand's creative vision is carried out consistently and to a high standard in everything we produce. The ideal candidate has exceptional visual taste, strong hands-on craft, and a keen eye for detail.

Requirements

8+ years of experience in art direction or brand image roles at a fashion, luxury, streetwear, editorial, or culturally relevant brand, with in-house experience preferred.
A portfolio demonstrating finished execution across photography, retouching, typography, and digital, not just concept work.
Deep, hands-on fluency in photography, retouching, typography, graphic design, and digital craft.
Experience operating inside a brand with a strong existing visual identity, ideally under a founder-led creative vision.
Extremely detail-oriented, with the ability to catch what others miss and the confidence to challenge work without imposing a personal creative agenda.
Experience directing photo shoots, including post-production and retouching review.
Fluency with Adobe Creative Suite, digital asset workflows, and cross-functional briefing and review processes.
Experience developing shoot concepts and leading talent casting for fashion or lifestyle brands.

Responsibilities

Own the visual quality bar across every touchpoint, including campaign execution and rollout, e-commerce and still-life photography, retouching, graphic design, typography, email/CRM, digital marketing, social, ALD.com, packaging, and printed collateral.
Translate the creative vision set by the CEO and Founder into finished work, closing the gap between creative intent and the final asset the customer sees.
Art direct key shoots hands-on, briefing and directing photographers, stylists, and sets, and leading retouching review and final sign-off.
Build and maintain clear visual standards and guidelines (crop, light, retouch, type, layout) that internal teams and external partners can execute against.
Support the development of creative concepts, treatments, and moodboards for campaigns, e-commerce, and seasonal content, in line with the creative direction set by the CEO and Founder.
Support talent casting for campaigns, e-commerce, and editorial shoots, helping make sure talent reflects the ALD brand.
Review work at key checkpoints across Creative, Marketing, E-commerce, Retail, and Production, pushing it further before it ships.
Identify recurring quality issues across shoots, channels, and teams, and fix the underlying standard or process, not just the individual asset.
Direct and give feedback to photographers, stylists, retouchers, designers, and freelance partners.
Oversee seasonal campaign toolkits and downstream assets to ensure consistency across every format and channel.
Evolve ALD's visual language subtly season over season without flattening it into a rigid template or reinventing it.
