About The Position

Reporting to the Vice President, Talent Acquisition, the Brand Development & Outreach Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the organization’s talent acquisition and employer branding efforts. This role is responsible for developing and posting job advertisements, coordinating recruitment marketing efforts, attending job fairs and outreach events, and fostering relationships with external partners and employment agencies. The role supports Assiniboine Credit Union/ Caisse Assiniboine (ACU)’s commitment to rural and agricultural communities, francophone services, values-based banking and ACU’s triple bottom line accountability to people, planet, and prosperity.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, plus a minimum of two (2) years of Human Resources Generalist experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in French and English is required, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated commitment to DEI principles and practices.
  • Proficiency in both English and French is mandatory.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and external partners.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and presentation skills with the ability and passion to engage with others authentically, establish trust, and build long-lasting relationships and influence at all levels.
  • Ability to apply analytical rigor to facilitate data driven decision making on People trend identified through reporting and develop plans to proactively address concerns.
  • Experience and comfort with a fast-paced, complex work environment, and the ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities simultaneously, with an orientation toward delivering results.
  • Ability to independently plan and manage projects, lead a team to successful project conclusion and effectively communicate to all stakeholders.
  • Proven experience utilizing a robust HRIS (UKG) in day-to-day work is required.

  • The Chartered Professionals in Human Resources designation (CPHR) would be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and post job advertisements, in both French and English, that reflect inclusive language and align with our DEI objectives.
  • Ensure job postings are accessible and resonate with a diverse candidate pool.
  • Highlight the organization's commitment to DEI and the French language policy in all recruitment materials.
  • Represent the organization at job fairs, community events, and networking sessions, emphasizing our DEI values and French language commitment.
  • Collaborate with marketing to create content that showcases employee stories, particularly those that highlight diverse backgrounds and bilingual capabilities.
  • Engage with community organizations to build partnerships that support diverse talent pipelines.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with employment agencies, educational institutions, and community groups that focus on underrepresented populations and French-speaking communities.
  • Coordinate with these agencies to facilitate recruitment efforts and promote organizational opportunities.
  • Develop and manage initiatives that spotlight employee achievements, with a focus on diversity and bilingualism.
  • Participate in internal campaigns that celebrate cultural events and language diversity, reinforcing our inclusive workplace culture.
  • Maintain records of recruitment activities, outreach efforts, and agency partnerships.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of HR policies that support DEI and language inclusivity.
  • Design, develop, and execute companywide People Solutions initiatives that drive organizational performance and efficiency, build employee engagement and company branding.
  • Identify, develop, and implement projects and programs to ensure that ACU is seen as a best-in-class employer.
  • Responsible for completing of all administrative work associated with tasks, project, and initiatives within area of responsibility.
  • Monitor ongoing diversity and inclusion initiatives to ensure values alignment.
  • Maintain professional confidentiality and privacy at all times.
  • Keep current on human resources and development best practices, business trends and potential problems, issues and changes in the financial services industry, and other external forces. Develop recommendations for changes to programs, policies, programs, and initiatives as required.
  • Responsible for compliance and risk management, through the execution of internal policies and procedures, maintain ongoing compliance with regulatory and legislative requirements at all times.
  • Ensure that all Talent Acquisition programs, policies and process are implemented in a manner that supports ACU’s commitment to rural and agricultural communities, francophone services, values-based banking, respectful workplace and diversity, equity and inclusion.
